More quality at Newmarket

Today and through the weekend, the Newmarket race meeting is high quality.

Listed races, Group 2 races, Group 3 races today.

Tomorrow sees the Cheveley Park Stakes and Middle Park Stakes.

I approach these quality races by looking at the past as a cue to the future. is the website I use. and are the links to the 2 main races.

I have had some success with this angle. Let’s see if we can get some good value plays in these 2 races tomorrow.

These 2 races are Group 1 races. also covers Group 2 and 3 races.

Let’s look at the Chevely Park Stakes

  • Aidan O’Brien won 3 of the last 4 races.
  • 9 of the last 11 winners have come from the first 2 in the market.
  • Within the last 4 years, 2 winners at 25/1 and 16/1
  • Only 1 winner from a double figure stall

There are other trends at the website.

This year? There is no Aidan O’Brien runner.

The first 2 in the market are Dandalla and Miss Amulet. Both at 10/3 as I write and that is an each-way price for me given 9 runners and 3 places.

Speculators might want to check out Zoetic at 18/1 in the hope that 50/1 recent trend last 4 matches for 16/1+ winners continues!

Middle Park Stakes

  • Aidan O’Brien has won 2 of the last 3 races
  • 2 consecutive favourites won
  • Stall 4 has won the last 2 runnings
  • 2014, 2016 and 2017 saw winners at 22/1, 25/1 and 10/1

We have an Aidan O’Brien runner in Lipizzaner at 14/1 who catches the eye under Ryan Moore, particularly noting the odds of those winners 2014, 2016 and 2017.

Lucky Vega comes from Stall 4 and at 10/3, like Lipizzaner , is backable each way in an 8 runner race.

There are joint favourites at the moment if you fancy the favourite pattern to continue.

Good luck if you are playing at Newmarket and remember there are trends for Group 2 and Group 3 at this excellent free website

This is the way I attack high quality races and in past eletters have had a good record.
