Ninja Trader Review

Name of Product:
Ninja Trader
Editor / Creator:
NinjaTrader LCC
Publishing Company:

Headline:
“NinjaTrader provides industry leading solutions for active traders, automated trading, third party developers and brokers."
Price:
Free. Though depending on the data provider, you may have to pay a monthly fee.
What does it involve:

The Ninja Trader platform offers all the usual charting features that you would expect to see from one minute candlesticks for short-term trading to monthly charts for longer-term investing. There is the usual host of indicators and drawing tools available such as moving averages and the ability to draw trend lines. If you wish to trade something more advanced that isn’t available, you can design your own indicators or make use of third party vendors who may have their own bespoke indicators or systems for sale.
Where can you buy it:
Pros:

Ninja Trader is an excellent resource that I highly recommend for anyone interested in creating and testing trading systems.
Cons:

Could be better explained with more support manuals.
Review Score (out of 5):

The service is incredibly simple to follow, an email is sent out with a suggested entry point which is often away from the current market condition.
The system makes use of the free charts available with your spread betting firm such as IG Index, so there’s no additional cost after purchase.
The manual is very well written and absolutely packed with examples of how the system works.
Dynamic Timing offers trades that are a good compromise between long-term investing and the frantic world of short-term investing.
Ford’s book is an excellent reference guide to the whole process of system creation, pointing out many of the pitfalls that befall most people.
Ninja Trader is an excellent resource that I highly recommend for anyone interested in creating and testing trading systems.
Members can have full access the Pip Range bar charts on their personal PCs to do a variety of technical studies and unique display configurations.
The focus of the manual isn’t on long-term trades which may involve tying up capital for months, but shorter-term trades which last around an hour or two
