"What you need to know about video marketing, MyNetBiz, The Big Prize winner and a very special announcement about 30k Day!"
Hi,
I've resisted it for so long, and come up with all sorts of pathetic excuses . . .
But now I've got to do it!
I'm talking about video. Specifically, creating video messages that I share with my readers and clients.
As you probably know Zac (my 6yr old son) has done it with his homage to Carl Douglas' 1970's hit 'Kung Fu Fighting'. He uploaded his 3-minute performance on YouTube using a laptop camera. A mention in my regular eletter generated over 2,500 views in less than 7 days.
Ok, so the younger generation are easy with technology, but recently it seems everyone and anyone involved in the business opportunity world is using video to market offers.
Of course, it makes a lot of sense.
It adds credibility - customers and prospects can see who they are dealing with.
It's cheap - uploading a video to YouTube is free!
And it's easy - we're now far more comfortable creating and watching home-made video. With the picture quality increasing and prices for cameras falling, it is easier to shoot and publish than ever before.
Combine that with the huge popularity of social networking and video-sharing sites like Facebook, YouTube, Viddler, Flickr and My Space you have a low cost platform to potentially reach millions of people.
But should you be using it?
Yes, if you are confident and at ease in front of a camera, then it's is bound to add sales. Or at the very least generate interest. If you know your subject inside out and are passionate about it, then even imperfect presentations skills can be made up by sheer enthusiasm.
I've just ordered myself a Flip camera. This is a great gadget - ultra compact HD video camera and can be plugged straight into your PC and uploaded to YouTube. And at about £140 for the top of the range model pretty good value.
Check it out here: http://www.theflip.com/
So look out for hilarious (i.e.: laughing at me, not with me) attempts in the near future!
One of the reasons I have noticed this new trend, is because I saw a couple of videos by people who use video to generate interest in their My Net Biz business.
Yes, they are both super confident and eloquent in front of the camera.
You can check him them both out here:

So what's the deal with My Net Biz?
Well, beneath all the Web 2.0 social networking and video presentations, this opportunity is eerily similar to direct selling opps like The Emerald Passport and Passport to Wealth.
Indeed, a quick search online will show that Simon $tep$y$ (yes, he does use dollar signs in his name!) has now jumped on the My Net Biz opportunity after being a major player in Passport to Wealth.
Basically, the 'product' is a vast library of digital product covering everything from self-improvement through to Internet marketing. You can use these materials either for yourself or as products to market on their own or in bundles.
The 'Platinum Package' for entry into My Net Biz will cost $2995. This allows you full access to the digital library plus the most favourable commission structure.
Ah yes, commissions! You see, like Passport to Wealth and Emerald Passport, the core of the My Net Biz income opportunity is really focused on you selling 'packages' to new people and then encouraging them to sell the package on. Yes, this is direct selling. But boy do they try their best to avoid drawing the same negative comparisons.
Do you have positive or negative experience of MyNetBiz?
I should say it is perfectly legitimate and 'seems' a lot cleaner that the other offers I mentioned. I am starting my investigation now and just trying to gather as much material as I can to offer you a balanced assessment.
The Big Prize Winner - Update
I've been working very closely with Alex Caithness - one of the 3 winners of The Big Prize - and I thought you might be interested in a quick update . . .
As we are following the same strategy outlined in Jon Street's 30K Day (more of that in a moment), our first task has been to find a hungry market looking for a problem to be solved.
First I asked Alex to tell me about his hobbies, passions and interests. This is important, as if I'm going to help him to build a successful long-term online business, it makes sense to focus on an area he will be interested in studying and developing.
Well it turns out that many years ago Alex was a very accomplished footballer and golfer. What's more over the years, like so many sportsmen, he has picked up a few injuries along the way.
So we already have a couple of great potential markets.
I asked Alex to research as many niches as possible related to his interest - so think specific sports, sport injuries, personal training and fitness. And he's come back with some fantastic results.
Our next task is to identify a market that is hot and has a potential backend.
We need to make sure that people are actively searching for information and solutions around the niche in big enough numbers. We also need to make a note of the key phrases people are entering into the search engines. This will be very important later when building a prospect list. You can do this by using the likes of Wordtracker.
OK, it's all well and good finding a hot market, but are there products you could introduce to this market that you could make money from? So the first place to look is Clickbank.com - the huge online archive of affiliate based digital products.
The good news for Alex (and for me as his mentor) is the sports and fitness market is massive on Clickbank with plenty of products to choose from. However the big challenge for us is to find a niche that isn't too competitive. Equally we don't want a market that only attracts a low level of searches.
I'll keep you bang up to date with how Alex progresses - hopefully it will give you some useful insights into the reality of starting up you own online business . . .
Would you be interested in an Easy Pay 30K Day?
I am sure you remember that we are basing the mentoring on the strategies laid out in Jon Street's 30K Day Internet Marketing strategy. In turn, these are the same principles I have used over the past 10 years in my own and other businesses.
Anyhow, since we launched 30K Day earlier this year we've been overwhelmed with the popularity. I think it must be something to do with the way Jon doesn't set himself up as some smarmy Porsche driving guru.
Actually, I should say that Jon does actually drive a Porsche but he would never lower himself to use it in a promotion! ;-) If he ever does, I'll be the first to mock him!
Far more important, Jon doesn't presume students have any previous online experience and explains everything in simple to understand steps.
Now, despite being priced at what I believe is great value and way below what you would pay for anything comparable from other so-called Internet Market Gurus, I realise that it is still out of the reach of many people.
But both Jon and I want more people to benefit from following the 30K Day plan, so we have come up with an offer that might introduce more people to this proven way of making money online.
We have decided - but only for a very limited time - to offer a 3-part payment option. It means rather than paying £497 + VAT upfront, you can split payments into 3. Your upfront investment is just £165.66 + VAT. If you like it you can keep it after the 30 days you pay just pay the balance.
But this is not going to be around for long. Seriously, Jon and I are only doing this as we believe the economic climate demands it. So, this part payment offer of 30K Day will only be open until midnight on Friday 25th September. After that it will revert to the single payment.
If you want to guarantee getting your hands on this proven and simple `Internet marketing plan on a part payment basis just go here:
